Always use safe stretching technique.

The Hamstrings is a group of 3 muscles that run from the pelvis to the knee in the back of the thigh. There are several hamstring streches.  The Seated, double leg, Hamstring Stretch is done be sitting with the legs spread appart and bend forward over one leg while reaching for the foot.  Bend as fars possible.  Take slow deep breaths and hold for 15 to 30 seconds.  Bend down slightly further during each stretch.  Switch to the opposite leg and repeat.

Hamsting stretches are important as they stretch both the hamstings and the low back.  Tight hamstrings are common and associated with low back pain, sciatica and hamstring tears.
